Thank You America

Monday, 7 September 2009 15:42 by Adron

Finally.  It is happening.  America is getting pissed.

Thank you!

I have grown excessively apathetic over the last year or so, with so many things happening politically that where going the wrong way.  At least IMHO of course.  Everything from the Patriot Act to Health Care, to Health Insurance, to Public Schools and Taxation.  The more I study politics, history, and economics the more pissed off I am and the more apathetic I need to be sometimes.

The town halls of the recent past and the attempts at further democratization of our Republic’s processes, even amid all the propaganda and lies has been encouraging.  The current Democrats (not to exclude the Republicans) grossly underestimated the pissed off and frustrated parts of America.  I honestly dread the politicians keep underestimating how frustrated, angry, and perturbed the people of this nation are becoming.  The politicians get lost in their little world, elusive of reality that the blue and white collar workers face, the immigrant and the native, and the dwindling white man and growing Mexican Worker presence.  The politicians often have no idea any longer of the elusive race relations among people, obfuscated in multiple layers of social engineering.  They have no idea of the underpinnings of the armed militias that continue, the armed defenders of Americans, the frustrated social Democrats that want more freedoms for people, only to abrogate rights just as Republicans have over the last Presidency.  The hypocrites the lot of them (except maybe Ron Paul, he still holds true to what he says, unlike about every other soul – I must admit, at least Obama holds fairly true to his flexibility of virtue).

All in all, it is safe to say, politicians are further out of touch than they ever have been in US history, all the while being more connected than ever.  It is a strange juxtaposition of our modern world.

But I’ve been emboldened to know that Americans can still get pissed off, can still raise their fists in anger and frustration at our leaders ineptitude and make them back down off of their deluded ideals of how we should live our lives?  It seemed under Bush Republicans, and some Democrats alike had just grown horrifically apathetic.  Somewhat easy to understand, being how roughshod Bush drove over our rights and many of our core ideals with his own.  We Americans, rightfully apathetic, felt scarred and bloodied from the incessant refusal to listen to the population.

Give me freedom to live and to strive for a good life and I’ll lead myself and others by example to deeds worthy of liberty and freedom.  Take these away from me and I shall be one of the greatest drains upon the sweltering insipid, mindless society that will come of it.  Thank you America.  Thank you stupid people.  Thank you smart people.  Thank you black person, white person, Mexican or Jew.  Thank you for standing up and screaming the politicians back into their position as servant and not our master.

Thank You.

Getting Closer to War

Saturday, 29 August 2009 14:12 by adron

I have the first unit of the ground troops finished finally.  Of course, this unit is about 98% like the Dreadnought I posted a while back.

Next step is to apply a second wash, and kick out those other tactical marines ready for combat.

The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights Reserved.

Monday, 17 August 2009 08:49 by Adron

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."  ~Thomas Jefferson

Firearm truisms:

  • An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
  • A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
  • Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
  • Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
  • If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.
  • Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
  • 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
  • Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
  • 911: Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
  • Assault is a behavior, not a device.
  • Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
  • You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.
  • When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.

Dreadnought

Monday, 17 August 2009 00:19 by Adron

I’ve started toward the build of a Warhammer 40k Aurora Chapter Space Marines Army.  This is my first model.  Still a little work I’d like to do, but it is the start.  I now have a few dozen to build and paint before my first army is mobilized.

Holy Shit This is Scary! 1984 was NOT Fiction I See

Monday, 3 August 2009 13:41 by Adron

http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/08/britain-to-put-cctv-cameras-inside-private-homes/

£400 million ($668 million) will be spend on installing and monitoring CCTV cameras in the homes of private citizens. Why? To make sure the kids are doing their homework, going to bed early and eating their vegetables. The scheme has, astonishingly, already been running in 2,000 family homes. The government’s “children’s secretary” Ed Balls is behind the plan, which is aimed at problem, antisocial families. The idea is that, if a child has a more stable home life, he or she will be less likely to stray into crime and drugs.

It gets worse. The government is also maintaining a private army, incredibly not called “Thought Police”, which will “be sent round to carry out home checks,” according to the Sunday Express.

All I can say is WOW.  I don’t like to think about what the next steps will be.  If history is an indicator, things only get rough from this point on.

Perfected Socialism?

Sunday, 2 August 2009 10:00 by Adron

Cuba is a prime example of a completely isolated system, based entirely on Socialism.  Every socialist system that exists today often has heavy trade with less socialist or even more socialist systems, helping to perpetuate and distort the reality of those systems.

Cuba however just cut funding for health care and education.  So it makes me wonder, what country on this planet, could exist isolated as a socialist entity?  Maybe China or maybe Russia, but that is about it.

At least Cuba, unlike most developed nations (not saying Cuba is) has the bravery to cut those welfare programs.  Meanwhile the rest of the world plungers further into currency devaluation and bankruptcy.

Maybe, after all we could learn a thing or two from those commie bastards in Cuba?

Draconian

Monday, 6 July 2009 22:05 by adron

So starts efforts anew.  It has been well over a decade since I’ve honestly and forthrightly written music.  I’ve played along in cover bands, original, and others as a single musician within a band.  But to write, to compose, to live inside of one’s thoughts, ideas, and ideals to compose and play has been far too long.

It is by far one of the greatest experiences known, yet so few truly know the catharsis of compositional creation.  I am happy to include myself in one of the few who do.

At the same time that it brings catharsis and such a great experience, there are always demons that follow so closely to music, to art, and to the creative side of the human element.  The condition, merely of being human, I suspect is inherent to having our own demons.  Frustration, love, passion, hatred, and the entire gamut of human emotion can be torn from internal to reactionary breakage in the course of a day.

Music is by no means a gentle mistress, nor lover, nor friend that guides you.  It is instead something that can stand before you and cause the most brash and draconian of personal reflection, because deep inside there is only one music you can play.  It is the music that is you.  So often, the simple fact that an individual is rarely ready to see, to play second fiddle, to the demons inside one self.

I shall continue my music exercise, and be prepared to expand as I have waited too long in life already to do so.  I unlike many, have always stood ready to experience and to face my inner demons.  I only hope those around me are so prepared as well.  I only hope those around me don’t find reason to fear or draw confusion from such actions I take.  When all done, the catharsis is often enjoyable for many, it is just the trip that is so brutal.

With that, I bid my words farewell for today.

Upper Income Earners & Rich People SUCK!

Saturday, 20 June 2009 23:55 by adron

I get sick and tired of being berated, castigated, censured, chewed out, cussed at, railed at, reprimanded, reproached, reviled, scolded, told off, vituperated all because I’m in the upper incomes.  Every time I turn around some ungrateful bastard is going on about how rich people suck and the upper incomes need to pay more.  The upper incomes start at a measly 50k per year.  Seriously people, shut the @#$% up.  Even people making over that go on and on blindly about how horrid those upper incomes are, how the rich suck.  Which mind you, you might be amazed where rich starts (and what is rich anyway?).

It's a horrible thing to attack someone verbally and especially physically for the color of their skin, the religion the follow, or other such thing, but all restraint and civil behavior goes out the window when someone is rich or an upper income earner.  I don’t know who gives someone the right.  When meeting face to face, how many blue collars know white collars, how many rich know poor people?  How many rich feed and cloth and save millions a year?  Millions, that is how many.  But still the berating, scolding, reproach, and negativity continues.

Simple fact, we're all in this together.  The rich guys that escape the market wrath on the media are the rarities.  Most get railed when they screw things up.  But a few escape unscathed.  Most of us upper income earners have busted ass for years, risked a lot and some risked little.  We’ve spent years in college, years working, years getting experience and learning our trades.  We’re now making upper incomes and we get attacked in papers, socialists despise us, and we’re used as scapegoats for the world’s ills by those that make less.

I’m not going to rant on about the lower incomes not risking things or whatever might go on, because it doesn’t matter.  What matters is that some people deem it necessary to always blame the successful.  The successful aren’t to blame.  If you ever find yourself blaming the rich, the upper incomes, the successful, or someone of that sort you probably should stop and look inward.  The person to blame is probably you.

So chill, take a look inside, and think really hard the next time you feel like pointing a finger.  As for me, I’m going to take my upper income and live a good life.  If that bothers you, I’m NOT sorry.
