So en route back to downtown PDX as the blue line MAX rolled into Goose Hollow, an interesting announcement was made.  The MAX driver started reading back the temperature and welcomed all the riders to the beautiful city of Portland, just like the airline pilots do upon arrival.

These are the types of things, like Bus Driver Steve's jokes, that really add that awesome human element to transit that is unbeatable.

Hopefully we can keep momentum behind these characteristics that the drivers add to the system.  Without them, TriMet just wouldn't be nearly as interesting.  It took me a while to realize how involved a decent number of TriMet's drivers are in the transit authority.  Their input really adds value, even if TriMet isn't listening, it adds value for the customers of the system.

Thanks Operators & Drivers for making my day that much more entertaining!
